Awaken Student Ministries is led by Chris and Davi Brooks.  They came to us from First Assembly of God in West Monroe, Louisiana, where they grew the student ministry from 18 to more than 200 students.

Before being called into full time ministry, Chris was a Safety Operations Specialist in the U.S. Army.  After leaving the military, he worked in sales and shipping and receiving before becoming a Drilling Fluids Engineer.  

But God had different plans for Chris and Davi.  After He called them into full-time Christian ministry, they began volunteering as middle school pastors before taking their first church.

Now, their mission is to disciple, train, and equip this generation to spread the gospel throughout the nation and around the world. They strive to bring the word of God into every aspect of their lives, including their family life with their daughter, Faith. Just as they work to raise their daughter into a mighty warrior for Christ, they work with the same diligence to see generations of students and young adults delivered, transformed, and equipped to awaken the nations. The mission statement of Awaken Student Ministries is based on Isaiah 50:4, which says, “The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He awakens me morning by morning; He awakens my ear to hear as the learned.”

Awaken Students is a generation living by the mission “to Awaken a generation morning by morning and equip them to be fully devoted disciples of Christ, sending them out as laborers into the harvest of the Lord.” Through this mission, their pursuit is that Chattanooga will be reached by the gospel, and through reaching our city, the nation and the world may also come to know Christ.
